Summary of the SEBI Circular dated 03/10/2024

Extension of relaxation in sending hard copies of statement stating the salient features of all the documents to shareholders and proxy forms to securities holders
SEBI vide this circular has extended the time period for relaxation for Annual General Meetings (“AGM”) and General Meetings (“GM”) held in electronic mode till September 30, 2025 (as against the earlier timeline of September 30, 2024) for the following:

For AGMs: Sending hard copies of statement containing the salient features of all the documents, as prescribed in Section 136 of Companies Act, 2013 to shareholders who have not registered their email addresses with the listed entity/ depository; and
- For GMs held in electronic mode: Sending proxy forms to holder of securities mentioning that a holder may vote either for or against each resolution.
